Youth of Jammu&Kashmir makes country proud- 3 young men of Jammu set milestone, listed in Guinness Book Records

Three Young men from Jammu have set milestone by becoming Guinness Book of World Record in the field of music. Karan Malohtra(percussionist), Dheeraj Matoo( guitarist) and Subodh Kumar(vocalist) joined the largest Indian band of musicians and singers in Mumbai to render their expertise with 1,046 musicians and singers drawn from world over for the webseries. ‘The Forgotten Army- Azaadi Ke Liye’ ‘Azaadi Ke Liye’ directed by Kabir Khan and released by Amazon Prime Video.
 
 
The band is named ‘Live1,000 Experience’ registered its name in the ‘Guinness World Records’ as record holders in the field of music for the ‘Largest cinematic music band on earth’. Karan Malhotra , whose parental home is at Moti Bazar , Jammu, said he got the opportunity to perform in the largest band after his work had got recognition world over.
 
 
“I came to Mumbai five years ago as a table player and started getting good offers from different quarters. My work got recognised and I got work on contract in Singapore where I worked for two years. Later, one of my projects was also supported by the Ministry of Culture for Japan,” said Karan Malhotra, who performed in the band as a percussionist.
 
 
Celebrating his success as the world record holder, Karan said immediately after the event he was flooded with many offers, which also include background music in a couple of Bollywood movies.
Dheeraj Matoo from New Plot, Jammu , at present living in Mumbai, said he had the honour to be chosen among 100 leaders from among 1,046 musicians, where he headed 300 guitarists as ‘ core guitarist’ in ‘ Live 1,000 experience’.
 
 
“ It was a great honour to lead 300 guitarists from front in the largest music band on earth supervised by greatest bollywood musician Pritam Chakarborty. There where players from Kenya, Austraila, Spain and France also among the 300 guitarists, whom I led in the final performance ,” said Dheeraj Matoo.
 
 
Subodh Kumar, the third participant from Jammu, lent his voice to the song ‘Azaadi Ke Liye’, the trio scripting a historical success for Jammu.“There is no dearth of talent among Jammu youngsters, the only way forward is to make the right choice at right time ,” said Subodh Kumar.
