All shopping malls, gyms, swimming pools, recreational clubs CLOSED in district Jammu. District Magistrate Jammu has ordered the closure till 31st March. Remember all schools, colleges, Cinema Halls and Universities have already been closed.

 

 

J&K Government issues media bulletin on Novel Corona Virus, urges people to not panic

 

 

Meanwhile Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a media bulletin on Pandemic Corona Virus briefing everyone on the latest updates related to COVID-19 outbreak in the Union Territory.

 

 

According to the disclosed information by the administration, J&K has till day 1743 no. of travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases who have been put under surveillance, 1485 are in home quarantine, 18 in hospital quarantine, 81 in home surveillance, 159 have completed their 28 days surveillance period, 85 samples have been sent for testing, 77 have been found negative while 02 tested positive, 06 reports are awaited as on 13th mar.

 

 

The Govt through the issuance of letter has urged people travelling back from Corona virus affected countries to undergo self-imposed quarantine for at least 14 days. The guidelines further advise the concerned ones to take number of precautions along with staying inside their homes after arriving back from affected countries as per Ministry of Health & Family welfare.

 

 

The Govt has specially requested social, religious and political organisations to avoid large gatherings. Visiting gyms or swimming pools should also be avoided for the time being.
