Pulwama plotter shot dead; IED expert of JeM Ismail Alvi eliminated by the Security Forces
In a major operation, the Security forces in Pulwama successfully eliminated IED expert of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Ismail Alvi alias Fauzi baba/Bhai who allegedly plotted the Pulwama attack 2019 martyring 40 CRPF personnel and was active in South Kashmir since 2017. After the killing of JeM commander Kamran alias Rashid Ghazi in February 2019, and then terrorist Riyaz Naikoo, the search operation led by the Security Forces has attained another huge success by eliminating Alvi among three other Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a successful encounter by the Security Forces, Pulwama plotter and Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Ismail Alvi was shot dead in Kangan area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama today among three other Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. Alvi is said to be a relative of terrorist Masood Azhar and had allegedly arranged IED used in Feb 14 Pulwama attack on CRPF convoy that martyred 40 personnel.
In earlier search operations, the Security Forces have conducted at least 20 operations in Murran belt in 2020 alone to trace Ismail Alvi out of which 5 have taken place in last 2 weeks alone but JeM Commander Ismail Alvi survived in Pulwama for almost 18 months after arriving from Pakistan and absconding ever since. However, Alvi’s killing by the Security Forces now will leave a serious dent on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s terrorist operations in the valley.
Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad Chief Masood Azhar’s kin Mohd. Ismail Alvi was reportedly also behind the failed IED blast in Pulwama recently.
IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar confirmed that Alvi, a relative of Masood Azhar prepared IED for Feb 2019 suicide attack which martyred 40 CRPF men in Pulwama last year.
