The Jammu and Kashmir Police have identified two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in connection with cold-blooded murders of Bandipora BJP leader Wasim Bari and his family. While one of the terrorists is reportedly a Pakistani national, the other is a foreigner. According to IGP Kashmir, eight of Personal Security Officers (PSOs) who were deployed for Wasim’s protection have been dismissed from the service and arrested.

 

 

IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that LeT terrorist Abid and his local aid are behind the killing of BJP leader and family. Two of LeT terrorists carried out a pre-planned attack on slain Wasim Bari and have now been identified while a massive manhunt is launched to nab them. Meanwhile, all eight PSOs have been arrested who were deployed in the protection of slain leader.

 

 

 

 

 

Bandipora BJP leader Wasim Bari along with his father Bashir Ahmed and brother Sheikh Umar were assassinated at the Muslimabad area of Bandipora district on Wednesday evening by armed terrorists. The trio, all linked to BJP, were killed at their family shop right outside the Bandipora Police station.

 

 

After the officials examined CCTV footage at the police station, they found out a few leads in the case and further investigation is on. Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar said the three were shot by some unidentified men after which they got critically injured and succumbed later.
