Charge sheet filed in Pulwama terror attack Case; NIA names Masood Azhar and his brothers as prime plotters

 

In a 13,500-pages charge sheet busting the major terror plot by Pakistan, the NIA has on Tuesday filed a charge sheet in the Pulwama terror attack case in which it has named 19 terrorists, mostly Pakistan based, who were involved in the bombing. The charge sheet names JeM Chief Masood Azhar and his brothers as the masterminds behind the deadly terror attack that led to the martyrdom of over 40 security forces personnel in Feb 2019.

 

According to NIA officials, the charge sheet has irrefutable evidence; technical, material, and circumstantial, that not only reveal Pakistan’s direct involvement in the ghastly attack but also, have enough evidence of Masood Azhar being the main plotter behind the Pulwama attack.

 

The 13,500 pages charge sheet that was filed on Tuesday has 19 accused named in it out of whom 7 are arrested, seven terrorists are killed including Azhar’s nephew Mohammad Umar Farooq, who as per NIA was tasked directly by Maulana Masood Azhar to infiltrate into Kashmir from Pakistan in 2018 for executing the attack.

 

Azhar’s brothers, Abdul Rauf Asghar and Ammar Alvi, and nephew Umar Farooq are among those who are seen as prime conspirators of the attack. Farooq was the son of IC-814 hijacking accused Ibrahim Athar who was in India to execute the Pulwama conspiracy and was gunned down in March 2019 by the security forces.

 

 

 

NIA investigation has also revealed that Pakistan used Adil Ahmad Dar, a local resident who rammed an explosive-laden car into a CRPF convoy in Pulwama, as a suicide bomber to project the attack as a result of internal disorder.

 

The 19 terrorists named by the NIA in its charge sheet are: Masood Azhar Alvi, 52 years, Pakistani national, Rouf Asgar Alvi, 47 years, Pakistani national, Ammar Alvi, 46 years, also Pakistani national and Shakir Bashir, 24 Years, r/o Kakapora, Pulwama, J&K.

 

Terrorist named Insha Jan, 22 Years r/o Kakapora, Pulwama, J&K, Peer Tariq Ahmed Shah, 53 Years, r/o Kakapora, Pulwama, J&K, Waiz-ul-Islam, 20 Years, r/o Srinagar, J&K, Mohd Abbas Rather, 31 Years, r/o Kakapura, Pulwama, J&K.

 

Terrorist named Bilal Ahmed Kuchhey, 28 years, r/o Hajibal, Lalhar, Pulwama, J&K, Mohd Iqbal Rather, 25 years, r/o, Charar-e-Shareef, Budgam, J&K, Mohd Ismail, 25 years, r/o Pakistani national.
