"POJK natives desperate to join India"; A Mirpur local exposes Pakistan army at UNHRC

 

In a massive revelation, a local from Mirpur has exposed Pakistan Army before the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva urging the UN to address the case of foreign occupation of POJK and said that the world must not fall for the fake narratives often given by the Pakistan Government. Amjad Ayub Mirza from Mirpur said that Pakistan Army molests Kashmiri women openly and has imprisoned countless young locals from Gilgit Baltistan for raising their voices against human rights violation. He added that natives of POJK are desperate to join Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in India.

Speaking at the UNHRC 45th session intervention, a local resident from Mirpur named Amjad Ayub Mirza has busted Pakistan Army’s ill-intentions at the UNHRC in Geneva and shared a video of the same on his social media handle. Although, there is nothing new to it and the world is aware of human rights violation of POJK natives by the Pakistan Government but it fails to intervene in the matter. Social activists and locals of the region keep bringing up such issues in light to expose the brutal actions by Pakistan Government and the army.

 

Bringing up few of relevant most concerns from POJK, Mirza has urged the UNHRC yet again to address the concerns of POJK natives and intervene in the matter without delay as it is also the case of foreign occupation by Pakistan because the locals desperately want to “become a part of India”.

 

While exposing the Pakistan Government before UNHRC, Mirza has alleged that POJK’s rivers are being forcibly diverted for hydro projects by the Pakistan Government causing shortage of water in the area. He said that scores of young men in Gilgit Baltistan are serving in prisons for protesting against the exploitation of natural resources in their province.

 

Among serious charges on the Pakistan Army that has a freehand from the Government for tormenting the locals of POJK, Mirza said that women in POJK are molested by vultures in uniforms and are thus afraid of crossing the border even in broad daylight.
