The medals from J&K Police have been conferred upon DIG Jammu, Vivek Gupta, SSP Jammu , Chandan Kohli, SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Sachit Sharma and SGCT Vicky Kumar for showing their valour during an operation.

 

These medals were conferred for special operations with regard to managing terrorism, border disputes, arms and narcotics.

 

The list includes 13 awardees and from Telangana, 16 from Punjab, 19 from Delhi, 4 from Jammu and Kashmir and 11 from Maharashtra.

 

DGP Dilbag Singh has congratulated all the awardees for their achievement and hoped this will boost their morale and will also serve as beacon light for the others to follow. He thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah , LG J&K Manoj Sinha and the government for recognising the professionalism and dedication of JKP officers and jawans time and again.
