June 25,1990: The day Girija Tickoo was cut up by Islamic terrorists in Kashmir Valley

June 25 marks the death anniversary of Kashmiri Hindu woman Girija Tickoo who was butchered by Islamic terrorists in the 1990's in Kashmir valley.
Girija Tickoo was a Kashmiri Hindu Pandit Woman from Bandipora. She worked as a Lab Assistant in Hr.Sec.School in Kashmir valley. In the wake of terrorism in 1990's, when lakhs of Kashmiri Hindus were brutally murdered and made to leave their homes overnight at gun point by the Pakistani sponsored terrorists including Yasin Malik and Bitta Karate, Tickoo along with her family had also fled the valley and settled in Jammu.
One day Tickoo got a call from someone who claimed the situation was better in the valley and she must come to collect her salary from the school she was working. She then went to the school to receive her salary and while returning from there unaware of the thought that she was being followed, she was kidnapped by five men from her colleagues home and was taken to an unknown location.
Everybody including her friend saw her being taken silently. After some days of her kidnapping, her body was found down the roadside in a horrible condition. The autopsy report revealed that she was brutally gang raped and tortured. She was cut into two pieces in a carpenters saw while being alive, right from the middle of her body. Every limit of humanity was crossed in the brutality upon her. Being Hindu was her only fault.
After so many years of her horrific death, her family still awaits justice, just like lakhs of other Kashmiri Hindus who lost their loved ones in the hands of terrorists. Some call it a propaganda to defame Islam but the fact is the axe forgets, but the tree remembers.
