Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra crosses one lakh mark in eight days

Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra which commenced on 30th June, 2022 have crossed the figure of one lakh in eight days. Over 14,000 pilgrims performed the darshan of Ice Lingam at holy cave of Lord Shiva on the eighth day.
 
 
Due to inclement weather Yatra was halted for a short period of time but resumed again with slight improvement in the weather. Thousands of Yatris are reaching Jammu & Kashmir everyday from all over the country for the journey to the cave of Lord Shiva. Heavy rush of Yatris is being reported at twin base camps of Baltal and Nunwan, Pahalgam daily. Long queues of pilgrims are being seen at different registeration counters at Jammu to seek registeration slips.
 
 
The 43 days long Yatra which started on June 30 is scheduled to end on August 11 on the occassion on Shravan Purnima coinciding with Raksha Bandan when holy mace of Lord Shiva led by its custodian Mahant Deependra Giri Ji Maharaj accompanied by Sadhus reaches the cave shrine for darshan.
