Was given Rs 30000 by Pakistani Colonel to target Indian troops, said captured fidayeen Tabarak Hussain in Rajouri of J&K
Captured terrorist Tabarak Hussain who is undergoing treatment at an Army Hospital in Rajouri said that he had been paid Rs 30000 to target Indian troops by a Colonel of the Pakistani army and was on a suicide mission. He admitted that he along with 4-5 other terrorists were sent on a mission by Colonel Younis, to target Indian army.
It is to be mentioned here that Hussain 32, a resident of Sabzkot village of Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was captured by the Indian Army on August 21 along the Line of Control (LOC) in the Jhangar sector of Naushera in Jammu & Kashmir's Rajouri when he and a few other terrorists tried to infiltrate. Though his other accomplices abandoned him and fled back after being intercepted by the alert Indian troops.
I , along with four-five others had come here on a suicide mission, sent by Colonel Yunus of the Pakistan Army. He gave me ₹30,000 to target the Indian Army. Had recced 1-2 posts of the Indian Army,". Tabarak said.
Hussain also revealed that he along with other terrorists had carried two to three close recces of Indian forward posts with an aim to target them at an opportune time. The go-ahead to target the Indian post was given by Col Chaudhry on August 21,".
" I underwent six-month training and visited several (terrorist) camps (run by Pakistan army) for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) members,” he said.
An army spokesperson said Hussain was in a critical condition after receiving two bullet wounds in his thigh and shoulder. Army officials donated blood to the terrorist and he was treated like any other patient whose life had to be saved. “Members of our team gave him three bottles of blood, he was operated on and put in the ICU. He is stable now but will take a few weeks to improve,".
Pertinent to mention here that Tabarak Hussain along with his brother were arrested on 25 April 2016 and underwent 26 months imprisonment before being repatriated via Attari-Wagah border in Amritsar.
