Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has resigned from all party positions including primary membership of the Congress party.
This development came in the backdrop of his resignation from the post of Chairman of the campaign committee of J&K Congress on August 16.
Pertinent to mention here that Azad was one of the prominent leaders of the party G-23 group which demanded sweeping reforms in the party. Moreover, he has been upset with the for being ignored.
In his resignation letter, Azad said that the Congress party has lost both the will and ability under the tutelage of the coterie that runs the All India Congress Committee to "fight for what is right for India".
