In a tragic road accident, more than 11 people were feared killed while around 25 people got seriously injured after the bus they were travelling in fell into gorge in Poonch district of J&K.

 

The mishap took place when a mini-bus on its way to Mandi from Sujiyan rolled down a deep gorge in the Sawjian area of Poonch.

 

 

Meanwhile, all the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment with the help of locals , army and police and a rescue operation is underway.

 

LG J&K has expressed grief over the tragic loss of lives in thie accident and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. He also announced 5 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.

 

 

President Droupadi Murmu also grieved the loss of lives and said, "My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. I wish speedy recovery of the injured."
