Farooq Qaiser, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist and co-founder of Pakistan based outlawed group has been gunned down in Karachi by unknown men on Saturday, reported Dawn.
As per media reports, the targeted attack took place in proximity of a religious institution in the Samanabad area which killed Qaiser.
Samanabad SHO Irshad Ahmed Soomro said the wounded were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where Farooq died during treatment. He had suffered bullet injuries in the back, reported Dawn.
Qaiser was a closely associated with LeT global terrorist Hafiz Saeed, the chief of LeT and mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack. 166 people including 6 Americans were killed in the attack in 2008.
According to a list that has gone viral on X, formerly Twitter, 17 terrorists, including Farooq, have been killed since March 2022.
