The Winter Session of Parliament commenced on Monday and is set to run until December 20. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his customary address to media before the start of proceedings, criticized opposition parties, accusing them of disrupting parliamentary discussions.
Taking a sharp jibe, PM Modi said, “Those rejected 80-90 times by the people during elections try to create disturbances in Parliament as well. Such parties fail to understand the aspirations of the people.”
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of productive debates in the session and expressed hope that new members from all parties would get an opportunity to present their ideas.
