Farooq Abdullah: Rohingyas Deserve Water, Electricity as Long as They Stay

On the Rohingya issue, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah says, "The Government of India sent the refugees here... It is our duty to give them water and electricity as long as they are here. On the protests against the attack on minorities in Bangladesh, he says, "The government of India should see to it..."

 

 

 

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also said that the Central Government should decide whether to deport the Rohingyas or not. He emphasized that while they are in J&K, they should be treated with kindness and provided basic necessities, especially during the cold winters. He also clarified that his government did not settle them in J&K.
