The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine continues to witness a surge in pilgrims, with over 90 lakh devotees visiting the holy shrine for the third year in a row. Last year, the yatra crossed 95 lakh, and this year’s numbers are following a similar trend, said Anshul Garg, CEO of the Shrine Board.
To enhance the experience of devotees, the Board is working on multiple projects to improve facilities and ensure a smoother pilgrimage. Garg highlighted that improved connectivity, such as the Vande Bharat train and the soon-to-be-completed Delhi-Katra Expressway, is expected to bring even more devotees to the region.
“With increasing connectivity and ongoing infrastructure initiatives, we are committed to making the pilgrimage more convenient and enjoyable for devotees,” he added.
