In a major counter-terror operation in the Kader area of J&K’s Kulgam district, security forces have successfully neutralized five terrorists. The operation, which began early today, is still underway.
During the intense exchange of fire, two soldiers also sustained injuries. They were immediately evacuated to a nearby medical facility for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
In a post on X, the Indian Army's Chinar Corps said, "Five terrorists neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing operation in Kader, Kulgam. During the firefight, two soldiers have suffered injuries and have been evacuated for medical care."
Officials stated that the operation was launched after vigilant troops observed suspicious activity. Upon being challenged, the terrorists opened indiscriminate and heavy fire, to which the troops retaliated effectively.
