US Imposes Sanctions on Four Pakistani Entities for Supporting Missile Program

The United States has taken strong action against four Pakistani organisations for helping develop Pakistan’s long-range missiles, which are seen as a threat to global and regional security. These sanctions have been imposed under a US law targeting those involved in spreading weapons of mass destruction.

The primary focus of these sanctions is the National Development Complex (NDC), a government-run organisation in Islamabad. The NDC has been actively working on Pakistan’s ballistic missile program, including the powerful Shaheen-series missiles, which are capable of carrying nuclear weapons. The US has revealed that the NDC has been purchasing specialised equipment, such as vehicles and tools, to support missile testing and launch operations.

In addition to the National Development Complex (NDC), the United States has sanctioned three Karachi-based companies for their role in supporting Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.

Akhtar and Sons Private Limited supplied essential equipment for missile development, while Affiliates International facilitated the procurement of key items required for the program. Rockside Enterprise further assisted the NDC by providing additional materials and equipment critical to advancing Pakistan’s missile capabilities.
