Two historic temples in Kashmir, the Maharani Shiv Temple in Gulmarg and the Gauri Shankar Temple in Pahalgam, have been beautifully restored by the Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust.
The Maharani Shiv Temple, which was damaged in a devastating fire in March this year, has been rebuilt and opened to devotees amidst the snowy charm of Gulmarg. A grand reopening ceremony is planned for April 2025.
Meanwhile, the Gauri Shankar Temple in Pahalgam has also been given a fresh new look. A beautiful Shiv Parivar idol, specially made in Rajasthan, has been added. Plus, new facilities have been built to make it more comfortable for visitors.
