Major Terror Plot Foiled in J&K’s Poonch: Arms, IEDs, and Narcotics Recovered

In a joint operation, the Indian Army and J&K Police foiled a big terrorist plan in the Rajouri-Poonch region. The operation, called Op Nandiyali, Surankote, was carried out on March 23, 2025, after receiving intelligence inputs.
During the search at Sangla Top in Surankote of Poonch district, security forces busted a terrorist hideout and recovered a large stock of arms including 3 AK assault rifles, 23 magazines, grenades, IEDs, and narcotics. This recovery not only spoiled a major terrorist attempt in the Rajouri and Poonch region but also weakened the terrorists’ operational strength.
